The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement condemning the t terrorist attacks in Istanbul:
"Canada condemns the cowardly and deliberately brutal terrorist bombings perpetrated Sunday on the innocent civilians of Istanbul.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
"With its allies, par tners and friends, Canada is committed to combatting terrorism and to working with the Turkish people and authorities to this end."
