GATINEAU, Quebec, July 18, 2008 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists and pedestrians that one Ottawa-bound lane of the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge will be closed for four days and the west sidewalk will be closed for six days.
One Ottawa bound-lane will be closed on:
- Monday, July 21, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 23, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
- Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The west sidewalk will continue to be closed 24 hours a day from Friday, July 18, 2008, until Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 3:30 p.m.
The schedule may change subject to weather conditions.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct general maintenance on the sidewalk.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience these lane and sidewalk closures may cause.
