GATINEAU, Quebec, August 14, 2008 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that the Des Allumettes Bridge in Pembroke will be reduced to o one lane during the next two weeks (excluding weekends):
- From 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 18 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008
- From 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 25 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008
The schedule may c hange subject to weather conditions.
One lane will remain open to traffic at all times and alternating traffic flow will be controlled using traffic lights at each approach to the bridge.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct general mai ntenance on the bridge.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this lane closure may cause.
