Consumer Price Index, July 2008
Consumer prices rose 3.4% in July 2008 compared with July 2007, an increase from the 3.1% rise recor rded in the 12 months to June 2008. Higher gasoline prices continued to exert the strongest upward pressure on consumer prices.
