WHAT: 68th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain Ceremony
WHERE: Canada Aviation Museum, Aviation and Rockcliffe Parkways, Ottawa, Ontario
WHEN: Sunday, September 21, 2008
TIME: 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Media are invited to attend the official ceremony to mark the 68th anniversary of the Battle of Britain at the Canada Aviation Museum. The Battle of Britain ceremony will feature a parade by Canadian Forces (CF) members, Second World War veterans and Air Cadets, and the laying of wreaths. The Central Band of the Canadian Forces will provide music. There will be fly-pasts by vintage Second World War aircraft (Spitfires, Hurricanes, Avro Lancaster) and CF aircraft (CF-18 Hornets, CH-146 Griffon helicopters, CC-144 Challenger), weather and aircraft availability permitting.
