OTTAWA (September 5, 2008) – The Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians, today announced the appointments of André Corriveau and Emery Paquin to the Northwest Territories Water Board.
"I am pleased to support the appointments of both Mr. Corriveau and Mr. Paquin," said Minister Strahl. "Each of these men brings to the position his own unique combination of professional and experience and proven dedication to serving his community."
The Northwest Territories Water Board provides for the conservation, development and utilization of water in the Inuvialuit Settlement Regio n in a manner that will provide the optimum benefit for all Canadians and for the residents of the Northwest Territories in particular. The Board was created by the The Northwest Territories Waters Act 1992.
