GATINEAU, Quebec, October 31, 2008 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that vehicular traffic on the Des Allumettes Bridge in Pembroke will be reduced to one lane beginning on Monday, November 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., until Friday, November 7. Both lanes will re-open for the weekend.
On Monday, November 10, vehicular traffic will once again be reduced to one lane from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., until Friday, November 14.
The schedule may change subject to weather conditions.
One lane will remain open to traffic at all times and alternating traffic flow will be controlled using flag personnel at each approach to the bridge.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct a routine inspection of the bridge.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this lane closure may cause.
