OTTAWA - There will be a ceremony of remembrance at the National Military Cemetery on November 11, 2008, at 10:15 a.m. The ceremony will honour those Canadian Forces members interred at the cemetery, and all of those who have fallen in the service of Canada.
The ceremony will include a marching contingent, a gun salute provided by 30th Field Artillery Regiment, two minutes of silence, the laying of wreaths, and a CF-18 fly-past, weather permitting.
Among others, the following honoured guests will be laying wreaths in memory of those interred at the cemetery:
- Mrs. Roxanne Priede, mother of the late Master Corporal Darrell Priede;
- Mrs. Deborah Warren and Mr. Gerald Warren, parents of the late Corporal Jason Patrick Warren;
- Mrs. Amanda Anderson, widow of the late Corporal Jordan Anderson; and
- Mrs. Julie Selby, widow of the late Captain Miles Selby.
The ceremony of remembrance will occur as follows:

Place:
The National Military Cemetery, on the grounds of Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Enter from either Beechwood Avenue or St. Laurent Boulevard; once inside there will be signs to guide traffic to the National Military Cemetery.
Media representatives are requested to kindly respect the privacy wishes of family members attending in remembrance of loved ones. Interviews will be granted according to the wishes of family members. These wishes will be communicated to the media through Canadian Forces Public Affairs Officer, Lieutenant John Dacombe.
