Gatineau, Quebec, December 5, 2008 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists and pedestrians that the Chaudière Crossing will remain closed. We continue to assess the situation and are working to reopen the crossing as soon as possible. Another update will be provided early next week.
Safety is a top priority for Public Works and Government Services Canada and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure is causing and thank everyone for their understanding.
