QUÉBEC – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has just released a list of North Shore fish harvesters who were convicted and fined in August, September, October and November for various violations of the Fisheries Act.
The total amount of the fines imposed on the fishers is $6,880, plus $1,494.90 for the value of the fish harvested in excess of the quota. The offenders are:
Fisheries and Oceans Canada is mandated to protect and conserve marine resources and is ever alert for any poaching of marine resources.
