The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will outline Canada's international priorities in an opening address at the Diplomatic Forum, which he will host in Quebec City on December 17, 2008.
The Diplomatic Forum is an annual event organized by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. It brings together foreign and Commonwealth heads of diplomatic missions who are accredited to Canada. The Diplomatic Forum is intended to provide heads of mission with a series of briefings on current Canadian public policy issues that will assist them in understanding and interpreting Canada and Canadians for their respective nations.
