Today, the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, on behalf of the Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced an investment of $1-million through Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) to support the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority in completing a shore power electrical plug-in project. Today's announcement is part of a $9-million cooperative initiative among the Transport Canada ($2 million), WD, the Province of British Columbia, Port Metro Vancouver, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and BC Hydro.
