QUÉBEC – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of fishers in the North Shore sector who were fined for various offences under the Fisheries Act in December 2008 and January 2009.
The fines totalled $8,725 for fishers plus $3,891.05 for the value of the sale. The offenders are:
Fisheries and Oceans Canada is mandated to protect and conserve marine resources and is ever alert for any poaching of marine resources.
