For immediate release
GATINEAU, Quebec, January 5, 2009 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that two of the three lanes in both the Gatineau-bound and Ottawa-bound directions of the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge will be closed:
- Tuesday, January 6 from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, January 7 from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
The schedule may change subject to weather conditions.
These lane closures are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience these lane closures may cause.
