OTTAWA – On behalf of the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Natural Resources, David Anderson, Member of Parliament for Cypress Hills–Grasslands and Parliamentary Secretary to Minister Raitt, will visit the Flavelle Saw Mill in Port Moody, B.C.
The visit is in conjunction with a number of roundtable meetings with Canadians to hear first-hand how the global economic downturn is affecting B.C.'s resource-dependent communities and to identify new, innovative opportunities to help ensure a successful future for the industry.
Accompanying Mr. Anderson are David Gray, Executive Vice-President, Mill and Timber Products, Flavelle Saw Mill, and Greg Rickford, Member of Parliament for Kenora, Ontario.
