OTTAWA - On behalf of the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Natural Resources, Brad Trost, Member of Parliament for Saskatoon-Humbolt, and Ed Komarnicki, MP for Souris-Moose Mountain, will host a roundtable in Estevan to discuss local energy opportunities. The MPs will also tour SaskPower's Boundary Dam Power Station, which will be the site of the world's first and largest commercial-scale carbon capture and storage demonstration project.
The meeting in Estevan is one of a number of roundtables being held across Canada with business and community leaders. The purpose of the meetings is to hear first-hand how the global economic downturn is affecting individuals and families in resource-dependent communities and to discuss the new opportunities in the sector.
Mr. Trost and Mr. Komaranicki will meet with media following the project visit and roundtable.
