The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement expressing Canada’s sympathies to those affected by the bushfires in Victoria, Australia:
“On behalf of the government and people of Canada, I wish to extend my deepest condolences to families who have lost loved ones in the Victoria, Australia, bushfires. Our thoughts are also with the families who have lost their homes in the disaster and with those communities affected by these tragic events.”
