QUÉBEC – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of March convictions of fish harvesters in the North Shore sector fined for various violations of the Fisheries Act.
Fishers were required to pay a total of $3200 in fines, and $200 was confiscated, for landing halibut illegally. The offenders are:
The Department has a mandate to protect and conserve fishery resources and is ever vigilant in its efforts to prevent poaching of marine resources.
