Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced today the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service, effective June 1st, 2009.
- Greta Bossenmaier, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, becomes Deputy Minister of the Afghanistan Task Force in the Privy Council Office.
- Gérald Cossette, currently Chief Executive Officer, Summit Management Office, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, becomes Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Prime Minister thanked Susan Peterson, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage, who is retiring from the Public Service, for her professionalism and commitment over the course of 28 years of service to Canada. The Prime Minister extended to Ms. Peterson his best wishes for great success in her future endeavours.
