Gatineau, Quebec, Wednesday, May 13, 2009 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that the Chaudière Crossing will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from the intersection of Rue Eddy and Rue Laurier in Gatineau to the intersection of Booth Street and Wellington Street in Ottawa. The lane closures will take place from 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15.
These lane closures are necessary to remove all temporary traffic controls and allow for the full reopening of the Chaudière Crossing. These closures will not affect pedestrians.
As of 6:00 a.m. on Friday, the Chaudière Crossing will reopen to all traffic including heavy trucks and buses.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience these lane closures may cause.
