GATINEAU, Quebec, May 29, 2009 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that the Rapides-des-Joachims Bridge, connecting Rolphton, Ontario, and Rapides-des-Joachims, Quebec, will be closed to vehicular traffic intermittently overnight from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1 and again on Tuesday, June 2. The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
There will be flag personnel at each approach to the bridge to provide traffic control. Traffic will be delayed for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this intermittent bridge closure may cause.
