QUEBEC CITY- Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the Magdalen Islands population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to pollution, in accordance with the prohibition orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:
Prohibition Order No. QSN-417
Lagune Le Bassin, rivage
The foreshore of Le Bassin Lagoon, at less than 150 m off the shore.
Est de Pointe-au-Loup
The foreshore and waters inside the Grand Étang, between a point located to the south of Grand Étang to a point located 3 km east of Pointe-au-Loup.
