Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced today the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service.
Neil Yeates , currently Associate Deputy Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, becomes Deputy Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, effective July 20, 2009.
Daniel Watson , currently Associate Deputy Minister of Western Economic Diversification, becomes Deputy Minister of Western Economic Diversification, effective immediately.
Michelle d'Auray , currently Chief Human Resources Officer, Treasury Board Secretariat, becomes Secretary of the Treasury Board, effective July 20, 2009.
Susan M.W. Cartwright , currently Deputy National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, becomes Senior Advisor to the Privy Council Office to lead the legislative review of the Public Service Modernization Act , effective July 20, 2009.
The Prime Minister also thanked Oryssia Lennie on the occasion of her retirement from the Public Service and for her dedication and excellence in serving Canadians during a successful career spanning 38 years in the federal and the Alberta public services.
