GATINEAU, Quebec, August 4, 2009 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise all motorists that the Des Allumettes Bridge in Pembroke will be reduced to one lane from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6. One lane will remain open to traffic at all times, with both lanes re-opening to traffic each evening and overnight.
Alternating traffic flow will be controlled using flag people at each approach to the bridge.
The schedule may change due to inclement weather conditions.
This lane closure is necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge. PWGSC apologizes for any inconvenience this lane closure may cause.
