Gatineau, Quebec, Friday, December 11, 2009 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that the Alexandra Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15. Lanes will remain open between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
This closure will not affect pedestrians.
This closure is necessary to allow maintenance activities on the bridge. This is part of the planned rehabilitation of the Alexandra Bridge announced recently by the Government of Canada under its 2009 Economic Action Plan.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience these lane closures may cause.
