QUÉBEC – QUÉBEC – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of North Shore Area fishers fined by judges Louise Gallant and Nathalie Aubry in November 2009 for various violations of the Fisheries Act.
The fishers received fines totalling $2,200, plus confiscation of scallops worth $750. The offenders are:
The Department has a mandate to protect and conserve fishery resources and is ever vigilant in its efforts to prevent poaching of marine resources.
