GATINEAU, Quebec, Monday, February 1, 2010 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise all motorists that some lanes of the MacDonald-Cartier Bridge will be closed overnight as follows:
- Tuesday, February 2: two of three Gatineau-bound lanes and the adjacent sidewalk between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, February 3 and Thursday, February 4: two of the three Ottawa-bound lanes and the adjacent sidewalk between 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
These lane closures are necessary to install concrete barriers on the road shoulders of the bridge. The sidewalk across the road from the work to be performed will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience these closures may cause.
