OTTAWA–The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, will participate in the Brussels Forum, March 26-28. The Forum, organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), brings together hundreds of the most influential North American and European political, corporate, and intellectual leaders to address pressing challenges currently facing nations on both sides of the Atlantic.
This year’s agenda includes discussions on such international priorities as the mission in Afghanistan, transatlanticism, the future of NATO, relations with Pakistan and more.
On Saturday, March 27, Minister MacKay will join the Honourable Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of NATO, the Honourable Madeleine Albright, Former Secretary State of the United States, and the Honourable Nickolay Mladenov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria in a panel discussion titled NATO's Future in an Unpredictable and Globalizing World.
