The Government of Canada has announced the appointment of Mr. John R. McDougall as the new President of NRC. Mr. McDougall is expected to join NRC effective April 19, 2010, for a mandate of five years.
Until recently, Mr. McDougall served as President and CEO of the Alberta Research Council (ARC). Over the course of his 12-year tenure at ARC, the organization evolved into a strong national and international leader, delivering and aligning science and technology solutions to industry's needs.
