QUÉBEC – Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of North Shore Area fishers fined by Judge Louise Gallant in March 2010 for various violations of the Fisheries Act.
The fishers received fines totalling $4,900 and forfeited two fishing boats used for harvesting clams in a closed area. The offenders are:
The Department has a mandate to protect and conserve fishery resources and is ever vigilant in its efforts to prevent poaching of marine resources.
