Ottawa, Ontario, May 10, 2010... Get thinking. Get creative. Get rolling! If you want to participate in the second edition of the YouTube video contest, "Underground Economy: Not Your Problem?", you only have until May 30, 2010, to submit your video.
The Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue, Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway, would like to remind Canadians that they are invited again this year to create a short video that emphasizes the risks and consequences of participating in the underground economy. To learn more about the contest and how you can participate, simply go to the contest Web page.
"Use your creativity to produce a video that illustrates your point of view on the underground economy and why it is a problem for Canadians. Show us your filmmaking talent. Your video might be seen by millions of Canadians. It might also be used in future education campaigns and outreach initiatives," said Minister Ashfield.
The winners will be presented with the 2010 CRA Independent Video Producer Award at a special viewing to be held in Ottawa this summer. Invite your friends and family to watch your video as often as possible, because this year our judging panel will take into account the number of views in choosing the 2010 winners. Don't forget to promote your entry on your MySpace page, on Facebook, on Twitter, or on any other social networking site.
