OTTAWA—On the occasion of National Aboriginal Day, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will participate in a dedication ceremony at the Canadian Tribute to Human Rights monument, in Ottawa, on Monday, June 21, 2010, at noon.
The event will highlight the completion of plaques, written in 73 Aboriginal languages and carved onto granite within the Canadian Tribute to Human Rights monument. The concepts of “Equality”, “Dignity” and “Rights” are engraved on the plaques.
