OTTAWA - June 23, 2010- Today at approximately 4 pm, the RCMP will welcome back two senior officers, Assistant Commissioner (A/Commr.) Graham Muir and Inspector (Insp.) Kevin Miller to Ottawa. Both officers are returning home after serving on 12-month missions in Afghanistan through the RCMP’s International Police Peace Operations Program.
Two dozen members of a joint RCMP and Ottawa Police Service pipe and drum band will join family, friends and colleagues to welcome back the officers. RCMP A/Commrs. Randy Parks and François Bidal will also be on hand to greet them.
Members of the media are welcome to attend this photo opportunity at the Ottawa International Airport (International Arrivals area on Level 1).
