OTTAWA – The Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay, the Minister of Industry, the Honourable Tony Clement, and the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, the Honourable Rona Ambrose, will make an important defence procurement announcement that will demonstrate the Government's commitment to rebuilding the Canadian Forces and implementing the Canada First Defence Strategy, while generating significant economic benefits across the country.
There will be three segments to this media availability. First, the Ministers will make the announcement and will be available to answer questions from the media. The prime contractor and the industrial partners will be subsequently available to answer questions from the media. Finally, the Chief of the Air Staff, Lieutenant-General André Deschamps, as well as government subject matter experts, will be available to answer technical questions.

Media with any technical requirements are asked to arrive at the Canada Reception Centre between 10:00–10:30 a.m. Proper media identification and accreditation will be required to gain access. Otherwise, attendance at this event is by invitation only. Parking is available in lot E-2.
