CFB BORDEN, Ont.– The Canadian Forces (CF) today launched a more streamlined recruiting website, FORCES.CA. Changes to the website will make the site faster and more accessible in remote communities with a renewed focus on showcasing the high-demand trades.
“This demonstrates how the Canadian Forces continually strive to improve communications,” said The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence. “The streamlined website displays our commitment to using new technologies, as well as the Canadian Forces’ ability to meet the changing personnel needs of a complex, high technology military, with specialties such as army electronic communications technicians, naval combat engineers, naval marine systems engineers, and medical technicians.”
Interest shown by Canadians in the more than 100 Canadian Forces careers, as well as subsidized education opportunities, has been very high for a long time. With such high levels of interest, the new website will allow those Canadians interested in pursuing a career with the CF to immediately focus on those technical trades and professions currently available, as well as access knowledgeable CF recruiters who are available to answer specific questions and provide general career advice.
The CF continues to work hard to recruit Canada’s best, and enable their lasting service in Canada’s military. The website supports the CF’s recruiting mission: attracting the right person, at the right time, for the right job.
