Gatineau, Quebec, September 3, 2010 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise cyclists and pedestrians that work will be undertaken on the Alexandra Bridge boardwalk from Tuesday, September 7, until mid-November to replace the wood deck as well as the interior and exterior boardwalk railings.
The boardwalk will remain open. However, its overall width will be reduced. We encourage users to take caution while near the work zone during this time.
Cyclists must get off their bike when going through the work zone and obey all other signage. To ensure the safety of all users, PWGSC may close portions of the boardwalk to cyclists during this project.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
