GATINEAU, Quebec, Wednesday, September 29, 2010 – Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists that the Alexandra Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, until 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1st.
This closure will not affect pedestrians.
This closure is necessary to allow for the grinding of the asphalt access lanes to the Alexandra Bridge on the Gatineau side. This is part of the planned rehabilitation of the Alexandra Bridge announced by the Government of Canada under its Economic Action Plan.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
Public Works and Government Services Canada apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
