OTTAWA – September 16, 2010 – On Thursday, September 16, 2010, the RCMP released A National Intellectual Property Crime Threat Assessment, prepared by the RCMP Criminal Intelligence Program. The threat assessment provides a national overview of intellectual property crime in Canada, between 2005 and 2008, from an RCMP perspective.
The assessment’s key findings on intellectual property crime in Canada, which encompasses both copyright piracy and trademark counterfeiting, are available on the RCMP website.
