With just a few clicks, Ontario parents can now apply for child benefit programs for newborns as part of the newly expanded online Newborn Registration Service application on the ServiceOntario website.
In partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency and Service Canada, ServiceOntario now provides a quick, easy, and secure way for parents to register their newborn, apply for a birth certificate, Social Insurance Number Card and now, Canada Child Benefits, with one single, easy-to-use online service.
The service lets parents combine four separate applications into one easy-to-use online process. This reduction in waiting and processing time makes it significantly easier for parents to cross another thing off their to-do list.
