Since 1929, NRC Research Press has published independent peer-reviewed international science. These scientific journals have never represented the opinion of either the National Research Council of Canada or the Government of Canada.
As of September 2, 2010, NRC Research Press transitioned to an employee-run Canadian not-for-profit corporation, under the name Canadian Science Publishing.
As a condition of the transition to a not-for-profit corporation, the National Research Council of Canada licensed "NRC Research Press" to Canadian Science Publishing for the publication of its journals.
Canadian Science Publishing is still in the process of transitioning its content to a new web site, but until that process is completed, the content remains on the National Research Council of Canada web site, though it is no longer affiliated with NRC.
