This session will include Neil Clegg, Senior Trade Commissioner to Barbados, Canadian High Commission Office, and Andy Armstrong, President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce.
“Our government is committed to investing in initiatives that help small and medium-sized businesses,” said the Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue, Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway. “We support programs which help these businesses get the knowledge, skills and relationships needed in order to successfully compete in the international marketplace.”
The Market Information Session will be held in the Elfin/Pekeha Room at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel beginning at 8:00 am. It is a chance for Island businesses to learn more about the opportunities available to them during the upcoming Trade Mission to the Caribbean Region, running from April 10 to 16, 2011.
”Exports are a vital part of Prince Edward Island’s economy and the Caribbean nations are important trade partners,” said the Honourable Allan Campbell, Minister of innovation and Advanced Learning. “We’re pleased to offer this chance for Island businesses to learn more about the Caribbean market.”
