MINTO , New Brunswick
Gaddess Industrial Inc. has expanded, modernized and relocated its operations, thanks to support from the Government of Canada. The new location and equipment fundamentally changes the way the company does business and will create opportunities for further growth.
"Our Government is proud of the investments we are making in projects that contribute to business development, greater employment and economic growth," said the Honourable Keith Ashfield, Minister of National Revenue, Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and Minister for the Atlantic Gateway. "This investment will allow Gaddess Industrial Inc. to introduce new technologies to their operations and help create more local jobs."
The project allowed Gaddess Industrial Inc. to renovate and relocate to a much larger facility, which is outfitted with the latest technology and equipment. The additional space will help to significantly increase the company's productivity and competitiveness, as well as expand its domestic and export markets. Gaddess Industrial Inc., formerly known as Minto Machine and Welding Ltd, has been in operation for more than 40 years.
"We are very confident and optimistic about the future of Gaddess Industrial," said Mr. Paul Gaddess, President of Gaddess Industrial Inc. "Because of the support of Minister Ashfield and funding from ACOA, we have been able to expand our business to a level that allows us to have a larger work force and cutting edge technology to deliver world class service right here in central NB." The Government of Canada is providing a repayable contribution of $712,612 through ACOA's Business Development Program.
