Laureats of the 2011 Governor General's Performing Arts Awards Announced

TORONTO, March 3, 2011 – Yvon Deschamps, Margie Gillis, William Shatner, Howard Shore, Leslee Silverman and Paul Thompson have been named the 2011 laureates of the prestigious Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, the ultimate recognition in Canada’s performing arts.
