BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, MARCH 11, 2011—Burnaby residents will receive easy, convenient access to a wide range of federal programs and services from the new Service Canada Centre in Burnaby. Dr. Alice Wong, Parliamentary Secretary for Multiculturalism, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, officially opened the Centre today.
“This new facility offers an interactive, welcoming and accessible environment to better meet the needs of Service Canada clients in Burnaby,” said Dr. Wong.
This Service Canada Centre, located at 100–3480 Gilmore Way, is designed to enhance access to services in Burnaby and surrounding areas, and represents one of over 600 points of service in communities throughout Canada.
Some of the programs and services that local residents can access at the new centre include Employment Insurance, Social Insurance Numbers, the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and passport applications.

Grand opening of Burnaby Service Canada Centre
The new Service Canada Centre in Burnaby, located at 100–3480 Gilmore Way, will provide enhanced access to a wide range of federal programs and services for the Burnaby community, and offers an interactive and welcoming environment for clients.
This Service Canada Centre serves Burnaby residents north of Lougheed Highway, south of Imperial Street, east of Kensington and Gilley avenues, and west of Boundary Road.
What services are available?
The Burnaby Service Canada Centre will offer reliable access to a wide range of programs and services clients need, including Employment Insurance, Old Age Security, Canada Pension Plan benefits, Social Insurance Number applications and passport services. Service Canada continues to deliver on its goal of providing Canadians with one-stop, personalized service they can access however they choose—by telephone, by Internet or in-person.
