OTTAWA, ONTARIO, JUNE 10, 2011—I applaud Telus Communications, Burnaby, British Columbia and the Telecommunications Workers’ Union for ratifying a new collective agreement that will ensure continued service to the community.
The best solution is one that the parties reach themselves. Strong labour-management relations contribute to our country’s economic prosperity and the economic security of Canadians.
The previous collective agreement, covering about 15,000 employees had expired on November 19, 2010.
