OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will participate in Volunteer Canada’s annual general meeting, at the University of Ottawa’s Desmarais Building, on Monday, June 6, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
At 2 p.m., His Excellency will address participants at the meeting and share his vision of a smart and caring nation, as we head toward Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017. Following his address, the Governor General will take part in a round-table discussion on the subject of “What will the world of volunteering look like in 2017, when Canada turns 150?”
