GATINEAU, QUEBEC, Friday, July 15, 2011 - Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise pedestrians, cyclists and motorists that the Alexandra Bridge and its boardwalk will be closed to all traffic from:
- 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.
Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists are asked to use either the Portage Bridge or the Macdonald‑Cartier Bridge during this time.
This bridge closure is necessary to allow access to a film crew for a CBC TV series that is focused on promoting the Ottawa and Gatineau area and will be showcasing various local assets.
