The Honourable Lynne Yelich, together with the Honourable Greg Weadick, Minister of Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, will announce the official opening of the Hitachi Electron Microscopy Products Centre (HEMiC) at the National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) in Edmonton.
The Ministers will be joined by Hitachi High Technologies Chairman Dr. Hidehito Obayashi to celebrate the partnership and arrival of an electron microscope which is the first of its kind outside of Japan.
Following the announcement there will be a tour of the HEMiC facilities and photo opportunity to showcase the new technology.
