OTTAWA — The Commander of Canadian Expeditionary Force Command, Lieutenant-General Marc Lessard, will relinquish command to Lieutenant-General Stuart Beare during a change of command ceremony on Thursday. The Chief of the Defence Staff, General Walter Natynczyk, will preside over the ceremony.
Details of the ceremony are as follows:
- When: Thursday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m.
- Where: Cartier Square Drill Hall, 2 Queen Elizabeth Drive, Ottawa
There will be a brief media availability following the ceremony, during which time the new Commander of Canadian Expeditionary Force Command, Lieutenant-General Beare, will be available to take questions from the media.
