GATINEAU, Quebec, September 29, 2011– Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists of a lane reduction on the Chaudière crossing from Monday, October 3, 2011 to Friday October 28, 2011.
The west lane in the Ottawa-bound direction will be closed, leaving one lane towards Ottawa, and both lanes towards Gatineau, open at all times. The west sidewalk will be closed as well. This closure does not apply to the east sidewalk of the crossing, which will remain open.
This lane reduction is necessary to continue the restoration of a culvert (part of the Chaudière crossing).
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
PWGSC encourages users to exercise caution when in the construction zone and thanks them for their patience.
